Jordan and Tori’s Caseville wedding—just 40 deeply loved people gathered as the sun dipped over Lake Huron—was effortlessly beautiful. As a micro wedding done their way, it had that cozy, intentional vibe I live for as a photographer.
The day began with softly focused detail shots and natural getting-ready moments with Tori and her girls. Nothing felt staged—just real, relaxed goodness.
(This pairing of unposed, planned-for moments is one of the big perks of a micro wedding—honesty, intimacy, and meaning.)
The couple opted for a first touch and private vows, a quiet, sweet buildup to seeing each other at the altar. It’s such a sweet way to slow the pace and savor the intimacy of the moment.
Caseville gave us the perfect low-key, lakeside ceremony—sand beneath our toes, the gentle lap of waves in the back, and a breeze like nature’s confetti.
(If you’re looking for similar North Michigan settings, I’ve actually put together a post on the [Best Small Wedding Ceremony Sites in Michigan] to help you find the perfect vibe.)
After the “I dos,” we grabbed group shots—carefully arranged, relaxed, and candid thanks to some smart, gentle directing.
Then it was just Jordan and Tori, walking and laughing by the shore as we captured their quiet, goofy, tender selves.
Instead of polished formalwear, the couple changed into comfy outfits and relaxed deep into the evening. Tori’s dad fired up the grill for a steak dinner that felt like summer and family all rolled into one.
(Reminds me of so many micro weddings I’ve been honored to document—simple, intentional, and oh-so-personal.)
Later, under string lights and the night sky, guests danced. The day relaxed into night in the best way possible—joy, laughs, music, warmth.
Before this wedding, I photographed Jordan and Tori’s Sleeping Bear Dunes engagement session. The dunes are one of my favorite romantic backdrops, and they set the perfect tone for their story together.
Around that same time, I’ve also shared posts that would help couples planning dunes sessions or elopements:
